Calling for youths with a passion for persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs)!

Youth Corps Singapore (YCS) is partnering with National Arts Council (NAC) for Art-bilities – a community service event that brings together youths and persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs) through art and fun! Join YCS for an inclusive day of art-making activities with PWIDs and a chance to cultivate new and special friendships! Let’s work towards creating a more inclusive and creative society in Singapore!

As a Volunteer Befriender (VB), you get to buddy with PWIDs from MINDS NTDC/ Metta Home and be a friend and actively interact and participate with them during the art-making activities. You would also be able to cultivate your friendship with them over lunch. You may choose to volunteer for sessions that fall between 10 to 17 March.

This project is one of the ad-hoc community service events of Youth Corps Service Week 2018 (10 March to 17 March 2018).

Youth Corps Singapore provides extensive and holistic volunteering opportunities for youths through ad-hoc, regular and project-based service projects, with a focus on reaching out to causes such as education, environment, health, special needs, arts, sports and heritage. Regardless of skill sets, YCS provides ample opportunities for youth to hone their skills, develop new skills and meet like-minded youths who are passionate about serving the community.
