Our future lies with the actions that we take now.

My experience at IISE 2017 was an eye opener. It gave me the opportunity to engage with a talented blend of industry practitioners and academics coming together to share their lessons, as well as their views on how to improve on Social Entrepreneurship.

Social Enterprises (SE) are on a difficult journey to become sustainable models and a key obstacle is Impact Evaluation to measure their social impact. Unlike traditional accounting standards, certain aspects of social impacts are intangible: It’s hard to measure the degree of change on how someone’s life has improved.

I believe that with all the passionate people working together, a framework of guild lines for Impact evaluation will be developed, enhancing the future capabilities of SE to strategically improve significantly the lives of others.
