Are we really better together?
Yes. That’s our answer.
“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
– Helen Keller
A simple search in Google for quotes on the phase, “Better Together” would easily populate more than 20 adages of why togetherness is an important ingredient to success.
Togetherness is also a key in co-operatives or co-ops. Co-ops are membership-based businesses formed to address social or economic needs, operate on the principles of self and mutual help and have a social mission that benefit its members or society at large. In short, co-ops are about people working together to address needs for the benefit of all.
The Singapore National Co-operative Federation (SNCF), in conjunction with the Singapore Bicentennial, has organised a year-long series of pop-art events to showcase that when people work together, they could do something bigger and better than they could do on their own. Starting with Credit Co-operatives, Service Co-operatives, and NTUC Co-operatives, the campaign will end with a Finale comprising a pop-art event and a carnival. Themed Better Together, the SNCF Bicentennial Finale will take you on a co-op journey from the 1900s to present.
Here are what you can expect from the pop-art event, right outside Plaza Singapura!
